I'd say yes. The guidelines clearly state that information must be provided
about "all current project support from whatever source," and that "[t]he
proposed project and all other projects or activities requiring a portion of
time of the PI ...must be included, even if they receive no salary support
from the project(s)." I read that to mean that if they're either (a) getting
money (even if it isn't salary) or (b) committing time, or (c) both, they
have to report.

Out of curiosity, why is the faculty member reluctant to list a funded
project? Since C&P information is primarily used to demonstrate a record of
support for an investigator's research, and also to demonstrate that s/he
isn't overcommitted, it's normally a positive to have something other than
the proposed project listed.

GPG instructions for Current and Pending Support state:

"This section of the proposal calls for required information on all current
and pending support for ongoing projects and proposals, including subsequent
funding in the case of continuing grants. All current project support from
whatever source (e.g., Federal, State, local or foreign government agencies,
public or private foundations, industrial or other commercial organizations)
must be listed. The proposed project and all other projects or activities
requiring a portion of time of the PI and other senior personnel must be
included, even if they receive no salary support from the project(s)...."

My question - is the PI required to include pending support from every
source? I'm having a difference of opinion with a PI.
