The George Mason University, Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) seeks to
hire a Grants Administrator. OSP supports external funding for research,
scholarly and creative pursuits while ensuring the university’s
financial, contractual and regulatory exposures are minimized. OSP
provides guidance and support to the university’s community in its
research efforts.

This position is responsible for performing all pre-award functions for
a portfolio of academic units. These functions include project budget
development, proposal review and submission, nonfinancial post-award
actions (e.g., requests for incremental funding, rebudget requests,
Principal Investigator (PI) changes, etc.), and representations and
certifications.

The applicant should have a demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and
sponsor rules and regulations related to grants and contracts. Sponsored
program or university experience is highly preferred. In addition, the
individual should have highly developed time-management,
problem-resolution and organizational skills. The individual should be
able to foster an environment that supports teamwork, collaboration and
high-quality customer service.

A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or a related field of study
is strongly preferred.
