Governors State University is recruiting for a Grants and Contracts Administrator I in the Business Operations - Financial Services & Comptroller's Office.  This position will support the research endeavors of the University faculty by ensuring the responsible stewardship of research funding.  This position will provide financial statement analysis, account reconciliations, state and federal reporting, and assure that grant financials are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations of the sponsoring agencies, employing institution, and applicable state and federal requirements.

The position will apply skills and experience to liaison between external agencies, university administrators, and principal investigators.  This position will serve as the primary contact on the accounting side for all University grants.
We are looking for someone with at least three years of grants and contracts accounting experience including reporting.
