Hi Ruth, Happy New Year. I hope you are still enjoying your new job. As usual, I'm coming to you for advice. We have a person hired as an administrator to run an externally-funded (through fees) program to bring profoundly disabled (deaf/blind, etc.) people to campus for a unique and extraordinary post-secondary education certification program. We also have a federal grant that is related to this program and that needs the expertise of this individual to accomplish the outcomes of the grant. It would mean that she will be paid with federal money to work another 20% - 25% additional time above her already 100% position. It is my understanding that the limitations to 100% time in A-21 pertains to ALL employees, and that it is particularly explicit about faculty. I wondered if you know of any wiggle room for administrative staff? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.
