Re: Electronic routing/signoff

Temple has been electronically routing proposals for review and approval now for some time. We started routing those for grants.gov but in recent months we have been routing non Federal submissions. We will be routing non-competes and reports after the first of the year. Faculty are very pleased not to rely on the "sneaker net" and the ability review and approve from anywhere in the world. We use InfoEd software for this. We have both preliminary and final routes so the admin materials can be routed and approved while the PI is still working on the science. For our clinical trials we are going to combine both routing and workflow, the routing portion for the faculty approvals than workflow kicks in for legal and financial folks.
Feel free to contact me offline if you would like to discuss in detail.
