There has been an increase in institutions seeking eRA solutions over
the past couple of months so we'd like to try and help them in their
search by doing a couple things.
First, we've developed an online tool that provides an immediate
estimate of our implementation costs for the software we support at
http://www.moderas.org/PriceWizard. We understand how hard it is to
just get a ballpark price and we hope this tool helps. We should
mention that our base software (Kuali Coeus) is open source so our
prices may differ greatly from traditional vendors but you can certainly
use it as a baseline.
Second, we'd like to put together a page that compares the various eRA
solutions currently available based on functionality and price. This is
something that's been sorely needed by institutions seeking to be able
to make informed decisions for some time. In order to accomplish this
we need the help of people who have implemented or received quotes who
are willing to share information through a survey located at
http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22CG85ESB3W/. We will collect and
share this information on the Research Administration Facebook page
(http://www.facebook.com/researchadministration) and on this list.
Please bear in mind that some pricing information may be confidential
and we are NOT asking for anyone to supply such information.
Thanks for any help you can offer, we're sure your colleagues will
REALLY appreciate it!
Best regards,
Chris
