The Smithsonian's Office of Sponsored Projects (located in Washington, DC area) is seeking a full time Grant/Contract Specialist to prepare grant proposal budgets and forms, assist with proposal submission, negotiate award documents, draft subaward documents and assist with interpretation of sponsor guidelines.
2+ years experience in grant/research administration and master's degree preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex rules/regulations to scholars and management, and ability to manage well competing priorities and deadlines.
Knowledge of federal agency grant regulations and applicable OMB Circulars, as well as private foundation guidelines, preferred.
Salary range: $42,209 to $67,114 per year (starting salary: $42,209 to $58,511).
