Description
Coordinates research grant & contract submissions for KP Colorado KPCO region.  Assists in negotiation & coordination of legal agreements w/ universities, pharmaceutical companies, & foundations.  Responsible for partnering w/ KPCO Principle Investigators to ensure proper Grants & Contracts management & compliance.  Acts as Research Administrative advisory & support to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the protection of human subjects & the Research Review Committee (RRC), assuring compliance w/ federal & KPCO regulations.  Maintains & supports a culture of compliance, ethics & integrity.  Maintains knowledge of policies & procedures & performs in accordance w/ the Principles of Responsibilities & applicable regulatory requirements, external laws & accreditation standards.  Appropriately reports observed fraud or abuse.

Essential Functions:
• Acts as liaison to administrative offices of federal, state & private funding agencies for development of subcontract arrangements & submission of contract deliverables
• Provides consultation to KPCO researchers regarding research proposal development, submission & execution
• Reviews, coordinates, & submits all externally-funded research proposals from KPCO Investigators to the appropriate funding agencies
• Partners w/ KPCO Principle Investigators to ensure adherence to governmental & KPCO regulations governing the administration of grants & contracts
• Assists in annual federal A-133 audit
• In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors & principles defined by the KP Service Quality Credo, the KP Mission as well as specific departmental/organizational initiatives
• Also accountable for consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, & behaviors necessary to provide superior & culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, & to purchasers, contracted providers & vendors

Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 2 years of research administration
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in business or related field
• Proficiency in computer word processing, spreadsheet, & database program
• Excellent time management & interpersonal skills required
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree preferred

May hire at a higher level.
