I think you have another issue as well - the whole issue of the results of
the research and any IP that emerges out of it.
- Will the research conducted under the NIH grant be similar to, overlap
with, be the same as his research for the company?
- Will his industry employer permit the publication of the research
results?
- If there is overlap, will the company permit the university to own and
possible patent any IP that emerges from the research?
