RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be responsible for the management
of a full sponsored research pre-award portfolio and will work as a
member of a professional pre-award team providing well-rounded support
to the campus community. Reporting to the Director of Sponsored Programs
and in collaboration with financial colleagues, legal advisors,
principal investigators, department administrators, deans and other key
resources, this position will identify and resolve issues that arise
throughout the lifecycle of an award. Specific duties include: serving
as the primary contact to clients (principal investigators, departments,
sponsors, etc.) on a wide range of pre-award and other issues; reviewing
proposals for compliance and negotiating contract and grant awards;
participating in presentations, outreach and training in schools and
departments as necessary; and performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s
degree (Master’s degree preferred) and at least three years experience
in research administration. Must have: excellent communication,
organization, and multi-tasking skills; knowledge of federal regulations
relating to grants and contracts; and proficiency in the use of
computers, Microsoft Office and electronic research administration
systems. Knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.

SALARY: Salary is $55,000 - $65,000; commensurate with qualifications
and experience.
