collecting human subjects data overseas Deborah Lynn Lundin 20 Oct 2010 08:54 EST

Good morning!

We have a faculty member posing a study in which she will be collecting human subjects data in Vietnam, from university and/or high school students (minors in the eyes of US law). The researcher is collecting participants' responses to a set of reading-related tests.

For the purposes of IRB review, what types of procedures, etc. would be required of a data collection overseas with non-English speaking subjects (and potentially from US-defined minors)?

Please feel free to respond directly to me at xxxxxx@uncp.edu<mailto:xxxxxx@uncp.edu>.

Thanks!
