Coordinator II - College of Education, Health & Human Sciences,

Full Time, Pay Grade 40

This position will provide a central infrastructure to support external funding for faculty research, research and service centers and new initiatives within the College of Education, Health & Human Sciences. This position will review and monitor financial aspects of all grants and contracts for the College. The Coordinator II will help faculty and staff develop accurate budgets for proposals; facilitate post-award management; assist with timely close-out of grant accounts; and provide training on grant writing, budget preparation, award management, etc.

Three years of experience (with Bachelor's degree) with grants/contracts in a university or non-profit setting is required OR six-eight years experience (without a Bachelor's degree) in grants/contracts and experience in a closely-related field which required close review and compliance with diverse rules, policies and regulations.

Knowledge of research methodology, in particular, types of grants/contracts processed for College of Education, Health & Human Sciences and knowledge of SAP accounting processes for sponsored projects preferred. Candidates should have experience with grant proposal software including Grants.gov and FastLane and Microsoft Office suite, especially spreadsheets.

Must have extensive communication, organizational and analytical skills as well as demonstrated ability to effectively conduct training sessions in a large group or individually.
