Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, NYU seeks a Senior Financial
Analyst to work in the Office of Sponsored Programs Accounting.

Position Summary :
Manage team responsible for post-award administration of grant
life-cycle: project set up, billing, collection, reporting, close-out.
Ensure University compliance with federal, state and city guidelines as
well as grant-specific requirements. Collaborate with the Assistant
Controller in the evaluation of current policies and procedures. Perform
complex calculations and analysis. Serve as primary liaison with
faculty, research staff and financial administrators. Participate in
special projects as required by management.

Qualifications/Education:
Required -Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
Preferred - MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance or Masters
degree

Experience:
Required - 5 years relevant professional level experience or equivalent
combination;  Must include experience with financial analysis, financial
reporting, training and supervising staff
Preferred- Experience with accounting and/or research accounting within
a higher education environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required - Ability to analyze, interpret and communicate a variety of
financial information to individuals at all levels;  Excellent
organizational and negotiation skills and ability to resolve complex
problems;  Strong financial management, analytical, interpersonal,
communications and writing skills.  Expert knowledge of Microsoft Work
and Excel
Preferred - Experience with PeopleSoft financial software for Education
and Government and BRIO report writing software.  CPA license.
