Re: Maily's Voting Carolyn Elliott-Farino 28 May 2010 11:08 EST

Who remembers telexes? That's how I used to send and receive important
information from overseas back before international phone lines were a
dime a dozen (hope that expression doesn't land me in hot water with
compliance!) and the advent of email and the internet. Oh -- and my first
computer was a Toshiba laptop that cost $3000! (1989)

Thanks for the laughs.

I agree, Bob.

When I started, the FAR was called ASPR; there were no fax machines or
desk top computers, no email and everything was cut and paste. We hand
carried proposals to Sponsors. Was it better than eCommons? I'll let
everyone judge for themselves.
