Position Open at New York University: Assistant Contract Officer

Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, the Contract Office at New
York University seeks an Assistant Contract Officer. Reporting to the
Deputy Contract Officer, this position will provide support in the
review and negotiation of contracts in support of research, training and
related activities carried out at the University with external funding.
S/he will be responsible for development and review of agreements to
ensure conformance with sponsor and University guidelines.
Coordination, review and negotiation of agreements will also be a
primary function of this position. Applicants should possess:
At least 2 years experience in contract management including the review
and negotiations of terms and conditions or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills,
and administrative abilities. Capacity to meet deadlines, prioritize, be
cool under pressure and understand and respond to the needs of a wide
range of divergent interests is also necessary.
