Re: NIH F32 question Jennifer Lech 08 Apr 2010 12:34 EST

Hi Brenda,

The F33 Senior Fellowships provide funding for independent-level
investigators who want to take a brief sabbatical from their labs (up to 2
years) to receive additional training or to learn a new technique that will
help them broaden their research capabilities. Usually, the PI will
undertake the training at a different institution than their home institution.

In case you are interested, the PA can be found at
http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-10-111.html.

So if you are working on an F32 postdoctoral fellowship application, you can
skip the Senior Fellowship section on the Fellowship Supplemental Form.
