Re: F32 - Tuition & Fees? Mokry, Gloria 26 Jan 2010 11:23 EST

The only time tuition is paid for on an F32 is if the course the post doc is taking is needed for them to complete the research project that they proposed in the research plan of the application. Also the course that they are taking has to be in a degree seeking program, they do not have to be getting a degree, but the course has to be within a degree seeking program. This is the only time they pay for tuition.

Hope this helps

Subject: [RESADM-L] F32 - Tuition & Fees?

Good morning everyone,

Does anyone know why NIH/NIAMS won't pay for F32 trainee's tuition and fees?
Per NOT-OD-10-047
(http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-10-047.html), the
individual postdoctoral fellow who is seeking an additional degree is
entitled to 60% up to $16,000, however, we only see stipend and TRE on NOA.

I was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue and if so, how are
you handling this problem? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
