This October 16-20, the Society of Research Administrators International will hold its annual meeting in Chicago. One of the many activities that will be part of the meeting again this year is the SRA Symposium. The Symposium presents and competes papers, posters, and abstracts that advance the academic and professional art and science of research leadership, administration and management. It is a superb opportunity for publishing in a highly diverse and innovative field that draws upon every allied art and science dealing with the management, executive leadership, and administration of research in every discipline from all around the world.
Symposium papers can touch upon all the allied arts and sciences that intersect with research leadership. Such topics include actual research accomplishment updates and their importance for the public, management theory and practice, knowledge science and IT, strategic planning, financial development and theory, research ethics and governance, law, intellectual property, international relations, diversity and multiculturalism, human resources theory and management, professional education etc. Papers can be research investigations, case studies, reports, program evaluations etc. Posters and abstracts follow suit.
This year, the Symposium is being chaired by Patricia Tait, MPH, of Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute; and Dr. Leslie Wimsatt of the University of Michigan. Please contact them directly to explore a submission for the Symposium. Their emails are:

The Symposium is an absolutely outstanding opportunity for individuals at all levels in their institutions. Do not discount what it may mean to you. Do not underestimate what your good work can mean to others, the profession, and the women and men we serve. This is a brilliant opportunity for professional education and development the end result of which may be the discovery of things that can impact someone's service and life for the better.
Here's to considering an opportunity for you...........and the good of others!
And do pass on the good word to others!
