Common Tech Problems for Research Admins

Hi,
I'm building an FAQ/workshop to address the top technical issues &
irritants in Research Administration.
Issues like:
- Grants.gov submission problems
- Problems with electronic documents like Word docx & PDF files, as
their passed around via email.
- Problems dealing with tech support centers at Sponsor Agencies.
- How to test BEFORE a deadline
- Computer Platform-specific considerations
-etc...
I'm interested in learning about everyone's top issues & most common
gripes.
I'm also very interested in the workarounds and approaches people have
used to solve their tech problems. Whether it's one of the
categories I've stated above, or a different issue.
Once I have amasses a list of the most frequent & frustrating
Technical problems for Research Administrators across the US, I'll
begin posting ways to DEAL with those issues, both to RESADM-L and to
my own department's Website, here at Eastern Michigan University.
That way everyone can benefit from the FAQ.
Your stories & most frequent problems would be much appreciated.
