Subject: [RESADM-L] Indirect Costs for Dept of Commerce BTOP?

Does anyone know whether indirect costs are allowable in applications to
BTOP? Nowhere in the 118 page NOFA or the 72 page application guidelines
do I find this addressed.

Obviously indirects wouldn't be allowable on many of the items that will
be requested under BTOP, such as infrastructure improvement and equipment,
but the program does allow applicants to propose education and training
projects that would include costs for personnel, fringes, and other line
items normally included in an institution's IDC base.

We've written to one of the program contacts but haven't heard yet. Has
anyone else been able to get guidance about this?

Thanks!
