Re: new set of R&R forms Bob Beattie 17 Jun 2009 13:49 EST

I did download the Form Suzan notes. This appears to be the post-
FFATA form that has been mentioned by various agencies as on the way.
It adds the important "county/parish" label of folks in Lousianana
will not feel discriminated against. There is also much more
information for Performance Sites. Except they forgot to add parish
to the county field.

That stupid field "Areas Affected by Project" is removed. No more
telling people to just put in "NA"

The Budget pages have the new extra wide Key Person lines, three
per person, so the budget is now expanded by a few pages. A nice
touch allows you to give the a half-page wide "role on project " for
people other than the PI.

Still cannot remove a single Key Person, or create a second KP or
Budget period until all of the first one is done.

A few format organization changes. Others?

Did any one on the list participate in testing this new form?

Anyone else notice that we've got a whole new set of R&R forms? This
month is the first time I've seen this new set of forms. Maybe I
miss the announcement alerting these changes were coming? I couldn't
find anything on the Grants.gov site about it and the forms don't
reference a version number or anything about them being agency
specific. Check out the package for Opportunity Number ED-
GRANTS-032309-008 if you haven't seen them yet.

Included are some needed improvements along with some odd changes I
wasn't aware were needed. I didn't notice any of the changes we've
all been clamoring for (easier budget year maneuvering and entry,
double-click to open, etc.). I'm curious how this affects S2S users,
particularly those who've opted to develop their own system.

Very interesting...
