Re: F & A rates for state grants/contracts Wilke, Teresa 27 May 2009 20:14 EST

We generally reduce our indirect recovery to fall in line with other state contract / grant awardees. Most of our awards have explicit caps of 6 - 8 % of direct costs. Though our federally negotiated rate is 49% of salaries we rarely request that on state awards.

Subject: [RESADM-L] F & A rates for state grants/contracts

Colleagues,
I am curious about the indirect rates that you are able to negotiate with your respective states agencies. We are getting pressure from some agencies within our state to lower our indirect rate so I thought Id see what other universities are able to negotiate throughout the country. Feel free to reply to me individually and I will compile a spreadsheet of info to share with the listserv.

Thanks,
