Senior Sponsored Research Administrator

Annual Salary: Negotiable

Duties:   This is a highly responsible position whose duties and functions include providing administrative and technical assistance and support to faculty and staff working with large complex contracts and grants containing both domestic and foreign components. Primary functions of this position will be to prepare, review and submit grant/contract proposals; negotiate contract and grant awards; set up and process awarded funding; handle and interpret contractual, regulatory and institutional  issues; review and monitor compliance; and manage ongoing award administration responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and four years of research and/or contract related administration experience.  Comprehensive knowledge of the federal grant and contract process, including proposal submission.  Strong working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Preferred Qualifications:   Master’s degree and five or more years of federal contracting experience.

Special Skills/Licenses/Training/Certifications Necessary:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.  Ability to handle multiple projects in parallel.
