You can see an example of how we do it at
http://rf.osu.edu/fundops/detail.cfm?strFOID=2247. This is the
announcement of the HHMI Undergraduate Science Education Program. In
"Internal Candidate Requirements" we wording we have taken from the
guidelines about the program and ask people to write in 3 pages or less
how their project addresses this. We also ask for a copy of their
biosketch to be attached as well. If you want to see our complete
collection you can go to http://rf.osu.edu/fundops/spcfunding.cfm and
search by sponsor or by college.

One of our toughest jobs has been to come up with something consistent
from all candidates that the committee can compare. We're currently
working on a possible template which would be, more or less, a fill in
the blank for a specific group of questions. Don't know how that's
going to play out yet but it's worth a shot.

Best,

Sarah

Subject: [RESADM-L] Internal Competitions

Good Afternoon,

I know internal competitions and how various institutions handle them is
discussed at great length in this listserv but my question/request is a
little more specific.

I'm attempting to make things a little more consistent when I receive
applications from folks on my campus that are interested in a limited
proposal competition. I'm trying to develop an application for the sake
of consistency. If any of you follow this approach, can you forward me a
copy of your blank application? xxxxxx@gwu.edu

Thank you,
Laura
