We are experiencing the same problem with these competitive revisions.

I have resubmitted the same competitive revision 3 times and received 3
errors,
always the same:

"ERROR     The parent grant for a revision must be awarded.  The parent
grant
for this submission is not a funded grant."

After the first ERROR I was told by the eRA helpdesk that it may be an
issue
with capital letters in the title not matching exactly to the parent
grant, so I
changed it and resubmitted. ERROR. Then I was told to submit it again
with a
cover letter explaining the system glitch that won't allow the grant to
go
through, please do not penalize for lateness. ERROR. Now I am waiting
for eRA
Commons to resolve their system issues (and supposedly call me back),
so that I
can resubmit one more time or just expect my 3rd submission to be
magically
nursed through.

Has anyone else been through this?

We got the same error.  NIH told us yesterday it was because the end
date of the
revision exceeded the end date of the parent grant. We are modifying
this and
resubmitting today.

Well hello everyone.  I am hoping that someone can assist us with our
current
dilemma regarding a recent Competitive Revision Submission on
4/21/09..........

"ERROR     The parent grant for a revision must be awarded.  The parent
grant
for this submission is not a funded grant."

Checklist:

1.     The grant is in year #5, therefore, it has been awarded.

2.     The grant was a transfer-in to our institution in September 2006
-
shouldn't pose a problem?

3.     Federal Identifier is CORRECT.

4.     Title is the same as title on NOA.

5.     The beginning date on the submission is 9/1/09 and ends the date
her
grant ends - 3/31/11.

Can anyone suggest a remedy?  We would certainly appreciate it!
