Except, I submitted to G.g and had my confirmation number which ended up not existing when I called G.g about not getting a validation!!

Let's back up a step or two.

The way I understand it, if you get a received notice from g.g, with a confirmation number (GRANTxxxxxx) and it is before the deadline, then you are OK.  You then have 48 hours after the deadline to correct errors.  If the errors are system errors, or if eCommons or g.g delays you, then you are still OK--you have your ticket number, and an explanation that delay was beyond your control.

What have I missed?
