Competitive renewal - ERROR on parent grants existence Heather Henry 22 Apr 2009 08:39 EST
Good Morning, Everyone,
Has anyone heard back from NIH concerning "ERROR The parent grant for a revision must be awarded. The parent grant for this submission is not a funded grant."? I call and stay on hold long enough to be put on voice mail, and I haven't had any better luck with email.
I've looked to see if they've posted a general alert on a web site, either I am looking in the wrong place or they haven't done it

We have tried 4 times to submit a Competitive Supplemement. We keep getting=
the "Parent Grant not Funded" error and also the "Modular vs. Detailed bud=
get" error.
Our B2B group has been working with Commons regarding these errors but we s=
eem to have no resolution yet. We were told that these errors were "downgra=
ded" to warnings but that doesn't seem to be the case just yet. Will try ag=
ain this morning and will post if we have any success.

Hello,
Has anyone had any success in getting a competitive renewal into the
Commons? We keep getting the error:
ERROR The parent grant for a revision must be awarded. The parent grant
for this submission is not a funded grant.
The dates on the grant being submitted do not exceed the project period
dates for the parent grant, which is indeed awarded.

FAR 19.702 (b) which sets forth four (4) express carve exemptions from
the subcontracting plan triggers set forth in FAR 19.702 (a).

contract modifications that will be performed entirely outside of the
United States and its outlying areas ..."
