Does your I/C have any agency specific guidance?

For us, we are applying to the NIA and their guidelines say up to 100K
per year DC for up to two years. We also put in a call to the program
officer to discuss and he provided further guidance on what to ask for.

I searched for an answer to this on multiple NIH FAQ sites but could not
find. Does anyone know how to interpret the statement "Please note that
in general NIH expects to award supplements of not more than 50 percent
of the amount of the parent grant".
"...amount of the parent grant" is the piece in question. Anyone know if
this is direct costs? total costs?
