Re: Banner System 3rd party cost-share Powell, Panda 01 Apr 2009 13:16 EST

Bonnie,

Our office would set up a separate agreement (stating that our office retained 100% of ownership of any item purchased) and project number for tracking purposes. We would put a note in our database that this project is tied to project X.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Banner System 3rd party cost-share

I would appreciate information from the Banner Users as to how you would
handle third party costshare cash.

We sent a proposal to a state agency which included $20,000 in costshare
from an external agency. We received the award from the prime funding state
agency. We would like to bring the costshare funding in so that we can
purchase the equipment and have 100% ownership of the equipment. How do
you manage this funding (Additional Resources)? One recommendation is to
set up a new grant for the costshare with an agreement from the third party.

I appreciate your comments.

Thanks,
Bonnie
