This response pertains to questions regarding the 2009 Summit on the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that was recently posted on the
Research Administrators list serve. I was disappointed to read a comment in
which it was suggested that this summit was a "scam", and I felt compelled to
respond to those remarks.
The Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs, University of Missouri is a
highly regarded school of public affairs that has received recognition for its
curriculum and outstanding programming and its rigorous research on a variety
of public policy issues. The Hawthorn Institute and PrimePoint have been
providing grant training to a multitude of public and nonprofit organizations for
over 10 years, with national reputations for quality and value. The grants
summit curriculum has been tested multiple times over the past 8 years, and
has been proven to exceed the industry standard, with average participant
feedback scores of 4.5+ out of 5 on evaluation results. We have many return
customers who can attest to our high-quality programming.
Grantshub.org is the new electronic portal created to coordinate and
facilitate registration for these events. However, you can read grantshub.org
partners at their respective websites: www.truman.missouri.edu,
www.1hawthorn.com, www.primepoint.org.
The 2009 National Summit on Grants in the ARRA will contain an ambitious
agenda of speakers from national associations with exceedingly high
reputations such as Grants.gov, The Council of State Governments, The
National League of Cities, and The National Association of Counties. In
addition, our nationally-recognized faculty from the Truman School, The
Hawthorn Institute and PrimePoint will provide more detailed information on
grant writing and grant management methodologies that can be utilized to
increase the likelihood of winning grants.
All of our partners take pride in our long-standing business relationships
and our reputations for exceptional quality throughout the government and
nonprofit sectors.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Holden, CEO
