I'm also interested in the answer, if people don't mind responding to the list.

How do your institutions handle course buyout? Is it based solely on
time and effort or are faculty required to buyout 'teaching' and a
portion of 'research' as well? Assuming there is a teaching
-research-services distribution? Any tested formulas out there?

Thanks!

Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] Help with a grants.gov error

We had this error this morning on an NIH S10. Though a modular budget,
somehow a couple fields had been filled in for the R&R budget forms, and
that triggered data-missing errors. (These forms were over on the
lefthand side, but still tripped the errors.) It was impossible to
delete the PI info or start date, but it was possible to add the missing
end date etc. The cure was to fill in required fields with data (zeros
for budget fields) to get all the YELLOW (=required, missing data) to go
away. Resubmission was then successful.

I know that doesn't make a lot of sense, but it worked.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Help with a grants.gov error

Hello my fellow research admins.... I was hoping I could tap into some
knowledge out there on a string of errors we received from grants.gov on
an application we submitted yesterday. I have been on hold with g.g for
a while and not getting anywhere.

From what I can tell, it looks like it does not like something in the
detailed budgets, however, this is a modular submission so no detailed
budgets were submitted.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
