Does anyone have a sense of how the NIH Challenge grants will be allocated?  Will the number of awards be divided relatively evenly between the 15 Challenge Areas (about 13 per area)?  If not how will the decision be made of how many to give out in a particular area?

Additionally, is there any information available on the planned geographical distribution of these grants?

Would welcome your thoughts.
