Cynthia, I had the same budget problem happen today. The only way I was able to get the cover page to recognize the budget total was to go to the budget pages and in each one hit "calculate and save". Then the cover page recognized the cumulative budget total. An additional quirk on one of our proposals involved the budget total shown on the cover page. The cumulative budget total in the budget section normally feeds this block on the cover page, but on ours, the cumulative budget total calculated correctly but the cover page total was about $4k less. For those of you who were attempting to meet the NSF deadline yesterday and had difficulty submitting, we've just seen another FastLane quirk. We were able to submit at 5:03 pm yesterday (before receiving the announcement that we had a 24 hour extension). Today, we checked the copy of the proposal that we printed right after submission and discovered that several pages were missing from the Supp Docs section (first 9 pages out of 20). We immediately pulled up the submitted proposal in FastLane and could not see those nine pages. We knew, however, that they were included in the uploaded document. On a second attempt to check the submitted proposal, the pages appeared. This happened to three of us who were all looking at the proposal at about the same time on three different computers and at two different institutions. I plan to continue to call up the proposal later today and again tomorrow several times to make sure all the pages are still visible.
