The same thing is true for the "type of applicant" field...there is no
way to undo a selection and return it to a blank line for "type of
applicant 2" or "...3"...there should be a blank as a selection option.

Me too.  I have been trying for last two hours to fix this, what seems
to be  big glitch.  You cannot eliminate that pull down item, as there
is no blank field to pick as there is for state.  You cannot delete one
entry key person entry, only all but the last one,  I found this with
Mac, using both Adobe Reader and Acrobat 8.1.3.  I will try with 9.0
tomorrow, but would be surprised to find it works.  Why has this not
showed up before?  Just when there
is no Help Desk.   I tried on SF424 R&R for both R01 and R03.
