Re: AHA Online Submission Question regarding "Declining" proposal as a Grant Officer Sharon McFarlane 28 Jan 2009 11:29 EST

You do not have to start the application process over. The application
will go back to the PI. The PI will then attach the final version of
the biosketch and then allow Grant Officer access.

Fellow Research Administrators,

I'm nearly ready to submit an AHA Grant application due TODAY (of
course
it is). The PI attached a non-final version of his biosketch to the
application. He then sent it to the Grant Officer for final Approval,
and now wants the Biosketch switched out with the correct version. My
question is, IF I "Decline" his proposal, will it merely send it back
to
the PI as is, or will we have to start the entire application over?

I only ask if any of you have encountered this because the AHA online
system is new, proven to have issues and their customer service goes
straight to voicemail. It then specifically says not to leave a
message.
I can't wait all day for an answer via email, because all other email
transmissions have been frustrating canned answers. Please help if you
have encountered this issue, as I do not trust a new system.

Please respond directly to my email address below, as not to clog the
email boxes of our esteemed peers.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
