The scenario that you outlined below is exactly what happened to us, except that the status did change to 'received by agency' later in the day. If anyone is concerned about whether or not SAMHSA has retrieved your applications or not, here is the number for the Office of Grant Review (where the grants applications are received): 240-276-1199. I was concerned that if 2 copies of the application were submitted, it might create an error (as with NIH submissions), so I called the number above last week. The help desk person confirmed that both copies of the proposal we had submitted were retrieved by SAMHSA and took my request to have only one copy be forwarded for review. After walking through all the possible first-tier variables with a Grants.gov helpline staff member, such as version of Adobe used, operating system, etc., a 'Research Request' ticket was submitted to the Grants.gov IT. Meanwhile, not wanting to wait from 'minutes to a day ' or more for the results from the 'Research request', we resubmitted. After our second submission was 'Validated', the submission with the error disappeared from the Grants.gov 'Application Status' chart, then reappeared less than a half-hour later with the status changed from 'Rejected with errors' to 'Validated.' So now we have two 'Validated' applications We, too, are waiting for SAMHSA to pull the applications. ******************** Amy Cuhel-Schuckers Grants Development Specialist SUNY Fredonia E230 Thompson Hall Fredonia, NY 14063 Tel: 716-673-3528 E-mail: xxxxxx@fredonia.edu -----Original Message----- From: Research Administration List on behalf of Ivona Jukic Sent: Thu 11/27/2008 10:53 PM To: xxxxxx@hrinet.org Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] G.G submission error message Can anyone who submitted SAMHSA grant on 11/25 confirm that the agency has retrieved it from Grants.gov? The app was rejected with that message, my colleague resubmitted, then both submissions ended up being validated. However, neither has been retrieved by SAMHSA so we're a tad antsy. Unfortunately, we had re-submitted the application before the status in G.g changed from "error" to "validated."
