Hello fellow Research Administrators -
Here is a difficult question I've been wresting with and would appreciate your input: In the undergraduate and graduate level courses that teach research methodology or APA writing, faculty will assign data collection projects as classroom assignments. When does this data collection need to be reviewed by an IRB and when is it classroom work? I know the answer is "it depends", but it's that depends situation I'm looking for. My goal is to assist faculty in doing the right thing, without adding any administrative burden.
I look forward to your feedback.
Thanks,
Lori
