Just wondering if others have had this experience.
I just submitted a competing renewal for a U01 for the November 5
deadline.  Since U01's have not converted to electronic submission yet
(believe me, I checked multiple times to be sure) it was sent hard copy
(and early - mailed 10/30).  My PI got a call from NIH CSR today and was
told because his proposal was originally submitted as a R01 and
converted administratively by NIH to an U01, we have to resubmit the
proposal through Grants.gov as an R01.  I've certainly never had this
happen before.  I'll resubmit (of course) but I thought once a U01
always a U01.  Anyone else had this happen recently?
