Here is a brief description of the responsibilities and requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
Manager position responsible for comprehensive accounting and service units responsible for all central post-award grant accounting, compliance, and reporting issues for schools and colleges.  Responsible for complex and comprehensive accounting functions at both the general and subsidiary detail level.  Responsible for customer relationships and outreach to ensure service is tailored to campus needs and is of the highest quality.  Responsible for providing leadership for personnel including focus on vision, change, innovation, and strategy along with supervising and training staff. Responsible for performing professional accounting functions and for recommending accounting systems improvements. Continual active participation in the Quality Improvement Process by leading and interacting with members of work team and work groups and interacting with customers to meet and/or exceed customer needs.

Essential Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance + three years experience as an accountant and pro-active and strategic leader.  Requires demonstrated experience using personal computers, specifically using spreadsheet, word processing and database software.  Personal computer experience/knowledge must be at a level necessary to develop applications that will enhance service and products to GCA customers, primarily research faculty.  A working knowledge of the University's on-line Financial Accounting System.  Keyboard proficiency is required.
