Ann,

There are several commercially available training sessions you can
attend, such as SIA conferences (recommended- particularly their ITAR
training), and Export Compliance Training Institute (recommended- I have
not taken their ITAR training, but their EAR training is very good).
They are available usually twice a year, for the SIA conferences, you
should watch closely, they usually fill up on the first day of
registration.  Bear in mind, all of these training sessions are
targetted for companies, not universities.
