Summer Undergraduate Workers

One of our faculty members is looking to submit a proposal to NIH R21 that
would involve undergraduate students working as research assistants. Being a
relatively new pre-award specialist, this has led me to two quick questions I
thought to run past the listserv: NIH has no maximum restrictions for
undergraduate student workers over summer, correct? I reviewed all of the
policies I could find but haven't found anything specifying the summer hours or
wage maximums. Also, do your respective institutions have a university policy
limiting the amount of undergraduate work or research to be completed by
students in a summer? While we have one outlining the amount of hours that
work-study students can do, we currently don't have a maximum that would
be placed on any hourly wage students-particularly those being paid with
grant funds.
Thanks for any help!
