The Opportunity:
WARF seeks a Director, Contracts Management. The Director will manage
professional staff in the administration of the organization’s
commercial and federal contracts, grants, Requests for Proposals,
commercial and federal procurement, indirect rate calculations, and
fixed assets.  They will interact directly with group leadership on a
variety of topics; provide strong leadership to the staff; collaborate
with leadership in the organization to ensure that the interests of WARF
and its affiliates are being protected; and develop professional,
flexible processes and systems in order to deliver functional excellence
to all.

Candidate Requirements:
The successful candidate must be committed to WARF's mission to support
world-class research at the University of Wisconsin and bring innovative
ideas to market to benefit humankind. Ideal candidates will possess a
bachelor’s degree; a minimum of ten years experience including
negotiating and managing grants and contracts / agreements (commercial
and federal); a minimum of five to seven years direct supervisory
experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a strong
background in pricing, procurement and RFPs; knowledge of Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS);
knowledge of the patent process and commercialization cycle for
products; and understands indirect rate development.
