If possible, I would appreciate it if anyone on this list could share a
template of a fiscal year operating budget for grants only.  I am
working on developing a template to ultimately use for my department
because each division has their own method of determining how much
of the direct costs of a grant to indicate in the fiscal year budget. I
need to standardize the way in which budgets are prepared across the
board.

Some admin's choose to pro-rate the direct cost for the grant to
coincide with the fiscal year, others indicate the total direct cost for the
year of the award plus carryforward from the prior year (without
prorating).

I can find pros and cons with either method. I'm curious to see how
others capture and disseminate this data to their Chairman and/or
Deans.
