expired subaward - revitalize or sign a new one?

Colleagues,
Our subaward with a prime institution ended two years ago, however the
prime's grant from the NIH continued and is now in its 5th year. Now the
prime institution wants us to revitalize the collaboration, and the
scope of work is more of the same of what we did under the expired
subaward. Would you accept an addendum to the expired award or sign a
new one?
Thanks for your opinions, as always,
