But we did just receive a grant from the Virginia Dept of Criminal Justice Services which had federal funds available for School and Campus Safety. The grant is for training university police officers on our campus and another in Richmond for rapid response to intruders, active shooters, etc. We have also gotten funds for campus police from the state DMV and ABC departments for equipment and patrols.
