I wanted to find out how other university IACUCs deal with censusing mouse pinkies, bird hatchlings, baby fish etc. In other words, at what point in life does the IACUC assume responsibility for newly born/hatched animals? We are in the process of reviewing our policies and procedures and this question has been debated during many meetings.
Thanks,
