The University of California San Francisco has a Research Administration
Systems Manager position open in our Program Management Office:
This full-time position reporting to the Associate Director of Academic
Information Systems will work to implement Research Administration IT
solutions approved by administrative and academic systems governance
structures; the initial focus of this position will be to identify needs
and requirements, assess opportunities, facilitate consensus among
stakeholders on strategic directions, create business plans, scoping
documents and budgets, support prioritization of projects, develop
consolidated short, medium and long-term timelines and then management
and implementation of Research Administration systems projects in such
areas as Pre-Award, Compliance, Conflict of Interest, Post-Award
improvements, etc.
Required Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of academic and research
functions and practices; at least 8-10 years of experience in
successfully implementing large and complex software systems; in-depth
project management knowledge and experience and demonstrated ability to
utilize proven implementation methodologies and project management
tools; experience in strategic and tactical planning to include business
process re-engineering; consulting experience in a strategic,
development and/or change management capacity within a large academic
institution; understanding of web applications; strong verbal and
written communication skills; strong problem-solving, leadership, team
building and organizational skills; and demonstrated ability to
articulate complex issues, plans and concepts to diverse populations.
