Re: NIH resubmission using original PureEdge package Bob Beattie 20 Feb 2008 17:48 EST
Cayuse does work that well, but those stuck with PureEdge should NOT try to recycle old applications. Always download the newest version to avoid any errors. NIH systems check titles, PI, and dates and other things and can view a recycled application as an corrupt application. I do not think it is worth the aggravation of that compared to the short time to fill out a new form. It is true that once you enter the Start Date on the 424 and the DUNS number too, those auto-fill into the budget page. You CAN change the start date on the 424 but then it does not re-auto-fill (is that a word?) back into the budget page. NIH has stopped counting the mismatched dates as an error but the expectation is that the difference is caused by mistakes on a current application. This "glitch" is not present in the Adobe Reader Forms. That is a plus! It is only the start date of the first budget period that is a problem for PureEdge applications. We tried changing the start date on the SF 424 thinking it would allow us to change the budget dates. This does not work. Does anyone know how to resubmit using the original PureEdge package?
