This is a great topic for regional SRA and NCURA meetings; national
meetings too. There was no session on FFATA at the NCURA Fall
meeting last year. There was a short -- 15 minute -- session at the
just concluded FDP. The core was that there is a FFATA subaward
pilot project going on now and it is going slowly.

The participants are having a weekly conference call. There must be
someone on the listserv who is participating and can bring us up to
date. Our accounting office chose not to, but just take whatever we
get. Our grants office takes almost no part in the subaward process,
so we can pass it off, luckily :)
Here is information on the Contract side of the subaward pilot.
Grants and Contracts have separate projects. The url is long so you
may need to cut and paste. I asked at the FDP meeting if there was
to be any conciliation between the contract subaward plans and those
for grants, and was told no. Note the parameters of the contract
project, in section 52.204-10 Reporting Subcontract Awards.

Back to Craig's original question. I think that there is not much
that we can do locally until the pilot is complete and we are told
what to do. Perhaps I am missing something, since we are not in the
pilot.
