Re: Question about Grants.Gov and Adobe Reader 8.1.1 Robert Beattie 16 Nov 2007 13:11 EST

Sorry for the confusion. I do not know how Acrobat works but I can
say that Adobe Reader 8.1.1 allows you download the Adobe File
Applications (AFA), fill them out, and submit them. What else do you
need :)

You will need to have a program to create .pdf files for the
attachments. I just print to PDF with my Mac, I do not know if you
can do that with a non-Mac or do you need the Acrobat program to do
the conversions?

I was confused by this post since older versions of Adobe Reader
don't create files. But I downloaded Adobe Reader 8.1.1 and it seems
to come up as the program of choice when you opt to "print" - i.e.
save a file as a PDF. Does version 8.1.1 have functions that are
more like Adobe Acrobat?

We will be submitting next week via Grants.gov so my interest in this
is more than academic.
